  1. Email the false-positive address with a clear subject identifying the suspected mistaken file detection.
  2. Include the VirusTotal report URL, the file hash, the Trapmine detection name and a short description of the software.
  3. Request a review and follow any sample-handling instructions returned by the team.
  • Trapmine's site says its intellectual-property assets were acquired, but specifically states that the VirusTotal ML scanner remains maintained.
  • No delivery or response test was performed.
